Hamisi Saidi Mikate, is an Electrical Engineer by profession, possessing Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering and Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Also, he has a diploma in Strategic Business Management from SIPU International and Jarskog Konsult under Sida's International Programme, this was one year program between February 2014 to February 2015. In 2016, he was one of the cohort of East Africa Stanford Seed transformation program, which is administered by Stanford University through Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies. In the year 2015 to 2016, Mr. Hamisi Mikate was selected to be in the team of professionals for a 'Practitioners' Dialogue on Climate Investments', specifically was responsible to develop a solution on 'Creating markets for off-and mini-grid renewable energy solutions'.

This program was implemented by GIZ. Director and founder of Ensol Tanzania Limited, 16 years experience in Renewable energy business. Hamisi Mikate is the CEO of Ensol Tanzania Limited since 2004, before he worked as a Technical Director in the same company which was established in 2001. He is a Board Member of Energy Plus Limited, Bwelui Company Limited and Watu na Umeme Limited, subsidiaries of Ensol (T) Limited; all four subsidiaries are focused on Renewable Energy business. He is a founding member and a member of Executive Committee of Tanzania Renewable Association (TAREA), an umbrella organization for Renewable Energy stakeholders in Tanzania. Hamisi is also a member of Steering committee of the Tanzania Renewable Energy Incubator (TAREBI) and serves as a member of Solar Power Technical Committee of Tanzania Bureau of Standards.
