Valeria Cantello graduated in Electrical Engineering at the Politecnico of Turin (Italy). After a few years in consulting, in 2005 she joined in Energrid S.p.A., a leading Company in the Italian energy trading sector. Valeria Cantello is currently responsible for developing new business opportunities in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy.

In her role, she recently managed the start-up activities of the Energy Efficiency Division and she is now in charge of identifying new business and investment opportunities in international markets, with a special focus on Middle East and Africa.

Formerly Responsible for R&D activities, she managed several projects funded at the national and European level, aimed at promoting energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, distributed generation and smart grids. On behalf of Energrid, she participates in the technical working groups within ASSOESCo (Italian Association of Energy Serice Companies), AIGET (Italian Association of Energy Traders and Wholesalers) and the Innovation Clusters promoted by the Piedmont Region.
